In 2017 we recognised an opportunity to offer our clients representation within the convenience market. As the channel developed retailers became more interested in getting category advice to help drive and develop their sales and as such our Retail Calls were born. On a monthly basis the same Account Managers visit Premier, Best One, BRP, Nisa, Spar, Go Local & Unitas Retail stores, engaging with the owners, driving distribution and activating promotional merchandise, and as a result we’ve achieved significant distribution gains across the ranges we work with due to the first class relationships we build.

Drive distribution

We have proven that our calls drive distribution for our clients. We analyse lines on entry vs exit as well as tracking the number of lines stocked each month, this allows us to feedback overall distribution by fascia as well as monitor individual line performance on a monthly or campaign basis.

KP Snacks

KP Snacks recognised the importance in driving distribution through independent retailers. They needed to know what lines were stocked in independent retail stores, what promotions were active, and what they could do to increase range distribution. The KP retailer reward scheme was developed and they used Avansa to implement it. We launched the scheme to retailers across the UK and every month monitor distribution for KP and reward retailers on their behalf on a quarterly basis. Through working in partnership with them we have seen growth in not only the KP range stocked but also greater retailer engagement over the past few years.

Ritter Sport

When Ritter Sport secured new listings across the Motor Fuel Group and Euro Garage forecourts they needed support to ensure their lines were on sale and well merchandised with bespoke hanging units. They called upon Avansa to activate the activity and our nationwide team set about siting the new display units, engaging with retailers on the new lines helping to secure future orders and ultimately generate pull through from their wholesale accounts.

Leading American confectionery brand Hershey’s were looking to drive distribution within the convenience market and used our retail calls to do so. With a bi-monthly call cycle our Retail Team set about calling on Premier, Best One, Go Local, Nisa and Londis and Budgens stores, educating retailers on the full range, introducing a new price marked pack and siting point of sale to help secure fixture space and as a result grew their distribution by over 20%.
